Athena, a leader in motorcycle spare parts for over 40 years, offers a complete range of cast pistons for the main models of 2-stroke and 4-stroke off-road motorcycles. Produced using state-of-the-art numerical control (CNC) machines, which guarantee production dimensional tolerances of less than 0.01 mm, Athena pistons are made from special high-performance materials (silicon, nickel and aluminium alloys) that guarantee reliability equal to the original and, at the same time, greater strength and excellent performance. The perfectly smooth profiles thus ensure a regular flow and an ideal spread of the flame front.
Each piston, designed in Italy by Athen´s R&D department, is also subjected to rigorous bench and track tests to check its performance.
This Athena Big Bore cylinder piston is equipped with piston rings, which guarantee less friction with the cylinder and therefore greater performance.
The kit includes, in addition to the piston itself, the piston pin, piston pin rings and ring set. All these components are replaceable and interchangeable if necessary.
