Straight Gouges are used for shaping recesses and raised surfaces, for instance folds such as drapery. The broad range of sweeps and widths offered by Pfeil opens unlimited possibilities in sculpture carving.
Series 7 and 8 sweeps are particularly useful for finishing work.
