Ray Iles Replacement Irons

Ray Iles produces these replacement O1 carbon steel blades for your bench plane (see also blades for block planes, spokeshaves & special purpose planes).
These blades (irons) are 50% thicker than standard irons and manufactured from 01 high carbon, oil hardened tool steel. They are designed to fit Stanley Bailey & Bedrock designs as well as Record & Preston bench planes. The extra thickness helps to eliminate chatter.
No. 3 planes – require a 1 3/4″ plane iron
Nos. 4 & 5’s require a 2″ plane iron
Nos. 4 1 /2, 5 1/2, 6 & 7’s require a 2 3/8″ wide plane iron.
