Battery combiners diodes are used to guarantee continuous DC power to mission critical equipment, such as an electronic control system of the engine.
With a diode battery combiner can be used two or more DC power sources in parallel to supply the critical load for the mission.
Failure of one source will not interrupt power to the load battery combiners.
Los Argo have a low voltage drop thanks to the use of Schottky diodes:
a low current, the voltage drop is about 0.3 V and the output nominal about 0.45 V.
